Sauteed Steak, Red Chili and Olive Oil noodles, with a homemade BBQ Sauce

Sauteed Steak, Red Chili and Olive Oil noodles, with a homemade BBQ Sauce

Ok so I started this one off with just an excuse to use my early fathers day present, I got a pasta roller, now this was much more labor intensive that I was anticipating, but it did make some of the best noodles I have ever had.

The pasta dough was really quite simple

3 Cups of Flour

4 Eggs

1/4 cup of water

The BBQ sauce was first intended to be a Steak Sauce, but while the whole house smelled like A1, it ended up tasting more like BBQ sauce, hence the BBQ title.

1 Tablespoon Butter

1 Medium Yellow Onion

2 Cloves of Garlic

2 Tablespoons Chilipowder

4 Fluid Ounces of Coffee

4 Fluid Ounces of Worshire Sauce

4 Ounces of Tomato Paste

2 Ounces of Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tablespoons of Molasses

Add the butter to a low to medium heat pot, and then add the onions and garlic. Sweat them for about 3-5 minutes or until they become fully aromatic. Next add the rest of the ingredients, taking care with the tomato paste. Add the tomato paste in portions so that it doesn’t congeal and you get little globs of tomato in your sauce. Allow this to simmer for about 15-30 minutes or until desired consistency is obtained.
